Born Christmas Day 1985 - died 15 December 2007.

Chris was different, but then we would say that being his parents but he really was different compared to most 'kids' of his age. He didn't have too many real friends but those who knew him loved him. Chris in lots of ways preferred the company of his Mum and Dad as he was a very shy person. He treated us like big Brother and Sister.
He would do anything for anybody and loved animals and had had many pets over the years.
He loved computers and mobile phones and knew all there was to know about them - we're lost now when we have a problem!
Back in September of 2007 Chris was admitted to hospital with bowel problems and in October had a Colostomy - quite a major operation and a big change in lifestyle but not for Chris - he accepted it and got on well with his new friend - 'Bob the blob'. Chris was in hospital for two months and was discharged fully fit (well, as fit as could be expected after such an operation) late November. Chris had three really good weeks at home before becoming unwell and on the morning of Friday 14 December was admitted back into hospital and by the early hours of Saturday he had died.
Chris was looking forward to Christmas Day as he would have been 22 and he shared this special day as it was also his Mums birthday!

Life will never be the same without you Chris..

How Life Changes

Ay up Son, right, where do I start. First I hope you are looking after Tara and you having some great walks together, something I really miss. Coming up to two years now and still not sorted your room out but me and you Mum are going to have a look real soon.
What do you think of Alyson, hope shes OK for you, I really love her and best thing that could have happened to me since you left my life has been so empty but now I have real hope for the future. Only four weeks and I be married again, bet thats shocked you, not as much as me though.
Just wish you were here to share my happiness and to go all the places with Alyson and Rachel - you would get on well you two would.
Hope you like your grave, your Mum has really worked hard and sorry I have not visited for a while but I have my little cross in my pocket and it is with me all the time and I give it a little squeeze when I have my down moments.
God Bless Son

Just a little Poem

♥ To lose someone you love is hard to bear
To lose your child is beyond compare
Whether the child is a daughter or son
Each one of them is a precious one ♥

♥ Your children can never be replaced
Every one of them has their own special place
Your heart is heavy it feels like lead
You don’t want to believe your child is dead ♥

♥ You don’t think the pain will ever go away
No matter what other people may say
No one knows just what to say to you
You need their help to see you through ♥

♥ Life it seems so unfair
You wish your child could still be there
Your memories fill your heart and head
You remember all the things they said ♥

♥ Life is for living and you must go on
You pretend each day they have not gone
Until you meet them once again
You will learn to live through this terrible pain...

A littel Poem to help you remember Tara

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together ...

Thinking of you

Hi Chris, just hoping you, Katie and Becci are all friends in heaven now and having fun up there. Andy I feel for both of you at losing a child it doesn't seem to get any easier does it. Thank you Andy for lighting candles on Katies page it seems this site is the only thing that keeps me going. I really hope you find some results from the hospital soon to answer some of your questions although they will never bring Chris back but we are lucky in a way that we had the love from our children for 20+ years and I will always treasure that. Take Care and love to both of you and Chris look after Katie for me. Sleep tight darling xxxxxxx

So sorry for your loss

I can see from your story that Christopher was a much loved and treasured young man. It is devastating in terms of what you and your family are going through and I hope you don't have to wait too long for the inquest. We had to wait ten months which was hard enough.

My thoughts are with you and I hope you find comfort from being able to say what you feel on this site. It's been a real support to me and everyone has been so kind. Christopher obviously had a really good sense of fun about him - which is evident in his photos.

Sending you love and light - please don't feel you have to respond I just wanted to say that your story really touched me. My husband and I did a lot of things with my son even though he was 25, he lived at home with us and had few friends. We miss the daily contact and being able to care for him.

Take care, Hazel xxxx
